A Pine Tree with Five Branches

The Ryukyu Pine Tree, which is about 250 years old, has five branches. Aside from its five branches, the Ryukyu pine tree is different from other pine trees because it does not grow upright directly, but creeps on the ground partway. This tree was designated as a natural treasure in 1997 by the Okinawa Prefecture government.
