Iriomote Island Digest
The Iriomote Island is the second largest island in Okinawa following Okinawa Island. Subtropical jungle covers 90 per cent of the island and is said to be the Galapagos Islands of the East Pacific. Many endangered species like the Iriomote wildcat live in its jungle. The island has actively promoted ecotourism attracting more visitors eager for the experience.
