The Genka
River is located in the north of Nago City. It is famous for having the
Ryukyu sweetfish but the fish is now endangered by land development in
the surrounding areas that is polluting the water. Even though it is no
longer easy to restore the right environment for the fish, many people
have been trying to do so lately. Consequently, the river is gradually
