Kuro Island Digest
Kuro Island is a heart-shaped island on the southwest part of Ishigaki Island with beautiful corals in and out of its sea. The island is mostly utilized as cow pasture. It hosts the annual Cows Festival every February, which brings in tourists from mainland Japan. Local people still stage traditional performances based on their worship and beliefs of their animistic gods.
