Sightseeing Spot・
In 1905,
local islanders off Ishigaki Island discovered Russian fleets heading
for Japan. Five of them went to Ishigaki Island to send a telegram to
authorities informing the latter about the incident. The monument-a statue
of five posts sustaining a small boat-was built in recognition of these
five islanders' courage and sense of nationalism.Monument in Honor of the Five Heroes of Hisamatsu Related Contents
