Geruma Island
Geruma Island, one of the islands comprising the Kerama Islands, is a tiny island of only 90 people. It was originally developed as a boatman's village; reminders of which still abound in the island such as the red-tiled houses surrounded by stonewalls. Kuba trees, a variety of palm tree, cover most of the land; and the keramajika (indigenous deer), which has been designated as a natural treasure, lives here.
