Ie Island Digest
Ie Island is located five kilometers off the coast of the Motobu Peninsula, Okinawa Main Island. At the center of the island stands the landmark, Iejima-tacchu, a cone-shaped hill. Sugar cane, tobacco, flowers, vegetables and other agricultural products are cultivated on a large scale in the island. In May, approximately 100,000 flowers of trumpet lilies are a-bloom at the Lily Field Park attracting an endless stream of admiring tourists.
