Sightseeing Spot・
Heiwa-no-ishiji
means "Cornerstone of Peace." It is the stonewall monument located
in the Peace Memorial Park. It was built in 1995 to mark the 50th anniversary
of the end of the Battle of Okinawa. All the names of those who died in
the Battle of Okinawa-Okinawans, together with those of the mainland Japanese
