Morinokawa
is a spring famous for being the site of an often-told legend. The legend
goes that once there was a man who went to Morinokawa and found a beautiful
woman (a heavenly maiden) bathing. He saw the beautiful robe of the maiden
and took it away. He also brought the very embarrassed naked woman to
his house. The woman stayed on in his house and several years later, they
got married. Their child eventually became the King of Central Okinawa.
