Southeast Botanical Gardens
The Southeast Botanical Gardens is the largest tropical garden in Japan. The area covers approximately 400,000 square meters and consists of two main gardens: the Water Garden and the Exotic Art Forest. More than 2,000 varieties of tropical plants are grown in both gardens; and during the Christmas season, these trees are beautifully illuminated making the spot a very popular sight-seeing destination. Moreover, within the gardens are places where people can see and even experience making Okinawan traditional crafts providing both education and entertainment to kids and adults alike.
