Sightseeing Spot・
Cape Hedo
is located on the northernmost part of the Okinawa Main Island. Raging
waves from the Pacific Ocean and East China Sea constantly beat on the
raised coral reefs, creating a powerful scene. Being near Yoron Island,
which belongs to the Kagoshima Prefecture, Cape Hedo was used as the meeting
place of the local people who wanted to revert Okinawa to Japanese sovereignty.
They lighted a signal fire to convey their wish to the people on the Yoron
Island. Today, Cape Hedo is a good place for people looking for rest and
relaxation, including the amenities of modern living like restaurants
and souvenir stores.Cape Hedo Related Contents
